Gail S. Haines
Gail Haines has a BS and MS in Education and diverse experience in education and politics which led her to join her husband in his medical consulting business. These diverse experiences have enabled her to remain current in the ever changing field of medicine. She was the first Computer Educator at the University of Vermont Hospital in Burlington, Vermont. There, she wrote the User Guides for all of the medical services and was responsible for teaching physicians and residents. She then joined the marketing division of Computer Service Resources, a readability analysis company. Along with conducting evaluations of existing programs, she analyzed the quantitative results of the program data.
In Michigan Gail successfully ran a grass roots campaign to be elected State Representative in the Michigan legislature. In that capacity, she served on the Appropriations Committee. She was Vice Chair of the School Aid Committee, and served on the Department of Labor, Energy and Economic Growth Committee, and Joint Capitol Outlay Subcommittee while working on the state budget. She chaired the House Health Policy Committee for four years. Adoption of Medicaid expansion as part of the Affordable Care Act was one of the major pieces of legislation that was overseen by her at that time. She founded the annual Michigan Clinical Trials Awareness Day which serves to educate legislators and citizens about the importance of clinical research in Michigan. After completing the maximum tenure of service allowed in the Michigan House of Representatives, Gail served as a consultant for Beaumont Health, southeast Michigan’s largest health system. She has a keen interest in growth and implementation of new ideas with a strong commitment to health concerns and economic development.
Presently, Gail sits on the boards of Oakland Community College, Oakland University, and the Flagstar Strand Theater. She serves as the Social Media Marketer and Communications Vice President for Haines Heart Rhythm Strategies, LLC where her networking skills will connect our clients to key thought leaders and business experts to allow their companies to flourish.
